Principle: data minimisation

Protecting your data matters to us. You can use obolus.at without creating an account or providing personal data. Our calculators run locally in your browser; your inputs (e.g. salary, federal state, children) are neither transmitted to nor stored on our servers.

Server log files & hosting

When the website is accessed, the hosting provider automatically processes technical access data in server log files (IP address, date and time of access, page accessed, browser type and operating system). This processing serves to ensure stable and secure operation on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Hosting is provided by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, as our processor; the servers are located within the European Union.

Cookies & local storage

We use only technically necessary cookies or local browser storage to remember your settings (e.g. language and theme). No tracking or analysis of your usage behaviour takes place. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a functioning website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); no consent is required for purely technically necessary storage (§ 165(3) TKG 2021).

Contacting us

If you contact us by email, your details will be stored to process the enquiry and for any follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent and delete it once processing is complete and no statutory retention obligations apply.
